It is an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to care for your mare & foal.  There are many tasks at the ranch that we find enjoyable, but none gives greater satisfaction than caring for a mare prior to delivery, providing care  and assistance during delivery, and supplying positive interaction with the foal during the first few critical months.
The basis for a successful foaling is a healthy, contented mare. The critical window starts prior to conception & continues through the weaning of the foal. Good nutrition, exercise, and a low stress environment are key elements of the recipe.

During the prenatal period it is vital that worming and vaccinations are kept current, that the mare is properly exercised and is on a healthy diet and vitamin supplements.

Up until the 10th month, everything is done to maintain the routine for the mares. We strongly believe in the importance of imprinting the foal. It is important for the well being of the foal to regard the human without fear and as a leader. This gentle interaction begins on the foals first day, and continues throughout their stay.
